Collecting wild garlic

About us...

Heavenly Hedgerows produces award-winning gourmet jellies, jams and liqueurs, mostly from hand-picked local wild plants and berries.

The business was borne of a love of foraging for wild food, inspired by a free-range New Zealand childhood and the delights of the West Country’s bountiful seasons.
Spring is wonderful for hawthorn, dandelion leaves and wild garlic, whose flowers are not only pretty but spectacular in salads.
But it’s Autumn’s heavenly bounty which delivers the gorgeous wild berries making up many of our products.
All our produce is made in our farmhouse between Bristol & Bath.
We’re mindful of seasons, and sensible picking means our foraged range is carefully sold to local delis and farmshops who understand both our process and our passion.

Sustainability is the key to sensible and sensitive foraging, so we occasionally work with local suppliers and farms that can gather wild fruits for us.

In 2014 we were thrilled to receive recognition from the Bath Good Food Awards for our sustainable approach to foraging. 'Outstanding Contribution to Sustainability'.

When we’re not in the kitchen or out berry picking, Heavenly Hedgerows can be found giving wild walks and talks. Private wild walks can also be catered for. Email us at

2013 saw our Lavender Jelly win the coveted ‘3 star Great Taste Award’ from the Guild of Fine Food. Of the 10,000 entered, only 125 received this prestigious accolade.

Following our award-winning successes from Taste of the West and The Guild of Fine Food, we are pleased introduce a new range of preserves, inspired by English Country Gardens. These are now available in various hotels and teashops. See our Hotel and Restaurant range for more details.
